XP Dial Up Instructions
1. To start configuring dial up access for your computer select start menu | settings | Network and Dial-up connections | Make New Connection
2. This launches the dial up wizard. You must read and follow all instructions. Select Next to start the configuration process.
3. Select the Second Option; you are dialing a connection to the Internet.
4. Enter the Phone number to dial. If you are unsure about this please visit http://www.dialmaryland.com/access.php to find a local phone number.
5. If you computer supports multiple users and you would like to share the connection with other users select the appropriate choice below.
6. Select a short name you would like to refer to this connection . Dial Md is an excellent choice.
7. You have completed the wizard setup, Your dial up connection will appear. Please modify the username to the standard fashion username@dialmd.net check your phone number to make sure it is correct too.
